Description

CBC is looking for outstanding design and construction projects including new construction and renovations that exemplify project team excellence and represent the best practices in teamwork by project owners, architects, engineers, constructors, tradespeople, suppliers and service providers.

March 27, 2026 (12:00 PM) - PTA Application Submission deadline.


PTA Application Requirements

  1. SMALL and LARGE Projects located in Connecticut substantially completed between the January 1, 2022, and December 31, 2025 period.

  2. Outstanding design and construction achievements, and the team members who, through close collaboration, have met or surpassed goals and achieved higher project quality.

Judging Criteria

A diverse panel of judges representing the spectrum of project team members, such as owners, architects, engineers, industry consultants, suppliers, contractors, subcontractors, and educators from locations primarily outside of Connecticut will judge the entries based on the following:

  • Completed Project Team Spreadsheet (20%)
  • Documented team cooperation & collaboration from conceptual design through project completion (30%)
  • Team’s approach to the project’s unique challenges (30%)
  • Meeting the owner’s budget and schedule constraints (10%)
  • Project’s social, DEI, economic, or sustainable design considerations (10%)

  2. The PTA Application Submission site will be accessible once entry payment is received.

PTA Application Schedule:

  • Entry Payment & Commitment to access PTA Application portal deadline - March 16, 2026 at 5:00 pm

  • PTA Application Submission deadline March 27 at 12:00pm

  • Winners notified and posted on website on or before April 24, 2026

    (Note: Project Team of the Year will be announced at the PTA awards ceremony)
